Hi Amarilis! That is totally ok to use other brands! I use Spectrum Noirs aswell and the whole class has all of the spectrum noir colour combos throughout and also videos on how to use the bulllet nibs of spectrum noirs and promarkers :) There is colour theory for every marker brand within the classroom :)
I have sene some people apply the theory with pencils...however the technique of using markers to pencils is slightly different. However in terms of shading you can easily transfer these skills learnt to other mediums :) x If you have any other questions please feel free to ask! x
Welcome to the group Amarilis! Thanks so much for joining up :) If you have any questions please just let me know. I can't wait to see you share your beautiful work in the gallery and feel free to post your questions and links to your work in the forums! Classes are located under the Class Info. x
I see you are looking to learn more about shading. Each of the technique classes covers shading, lightsource, and colours in depth for each topic. Our first topic is skin and hair, and we also have clothing for alcohol markers and copics and they are located herehttp://kitandclowder.ning.com/project. Both of these classes come with the dedicated Lightsource class for free! I hope this helps and if you have any questions please just let me know x
Don't forget to post one of your beautiful creations in the monthly challenge! :)http://kitandclowder.ning.com/challenges
