Hullo there!
I discovered Kit and Clowder's online coloring community a few months back and it appealed to me so much, I had to jump in with both feet!
I signed up for the Skin and Hair class, and although I haven't had much of a chance to do the lessons, I see so many great reviews from the other "Clowdies". The before and after pictures are a real testament, to the quality of instruction, we receive, as class members.
Alyce, the instructor, has put together an extensive list of materials to reference, and has worked tirelessly to do most of the thinking for us. Her love of what she does shows in the detail of her efforts, to teach us to color, rather than just follow a bland tutorial. She has even done conversion charts, to include whichever brand of marker you're using, and which colors to use, for each brand. (ie: Copics, Spectrum Noir, Promarker, etc..)
I can't wait to settle in and start actually learning, as I have no idea how to use markers effectively. We have a lot of fun in this community, with extras such as; monthly Bingo, and a book club. There are a lot of freebies, and monthly challenges offered by the sponsors of these classes. (and what a list of sponsors, too!)
I plan on taking the other classes as well, and will have many before and afters to show you, once my learning is underway. You definitely get you money's worth, when you invest in any of Kit and Clowder's classes. Alyce has thought of everything, and is always available, to critique your work, via the feedback on the site. That's a one on one thing, and essential for anyone wanting to gain\improve their skills. It's also a lifetime thing, so you can upload for feedback, as you have time to complete the lessons!
If you are thinking about signing up, I would strongly recommend that you do! It is well worth the investment, and very reasonably priced. With all that being said; I hope to see you in the classroom soon. I think I'll take the Animal class, next!
