When I first joined Kit and Clowder I used to look in amazement at the wonderful cards and images posted and thought how great it would be to be able to colour like that. Then classes were offered and I new I had to be part of this great community. The Skin and Hair Class was the beginning of an amazing journey. A journey filled initially with frustration as I tried to produce results similar to the samples provided by our wonderful, patient and talented teacher. Very slowly I could see myself improving and progressing bit by bit. Feedback from Alyce was the encouragement needed to improve and keep going.  Some lessons I thought I would never produce results I'd be happy with, but surprisingly I found if I applied what I learned from the lessons I managed to colour up some decent images. I first found Kit and Clowder on youtube and was amazed at how she colored. I never thought that it would be possible to even come close to coloring the way she does. I played around with Copics and thought I was ok enough to get by but my goodness she blew me away at how easy she made it seem. Well guess what IT IS!!! Once Kit and Clowder started offering classes I knew I had to take them, they are affordable and so worth every single penny and more. I am a Certified Copic Instructor and I will tell you I have learned so much more from Alyce than I ever did in my class with Copic and at a fraction of the cost that I paid to take the class with Copic.

Alyce gives one on one feedback, she is ALWAYS there for inspiration and she is your biggest cheerleader. I was always self conscious about posting my colored projects online before and after taking the Skin and Hair Class I am so confident in my work. I love to pick up Copics now, I'm not worried about making a mistake or sharing my work

what a journey. like most of the clowdies i have had my ups and downs. struggling, self doubting and amazement of what i have achieved. i now have the tools to continue with my colouring and it is all thanks to a great tutor. the classes are well laid out for anyone to follow with lesson 8 bring it all together. as for my before and after photo's all is there to see. thanks a million Alyce

This is the best Copic class I have every taken.  Alyce walks you through many different hair types and styles as well as skin and shadows.  You can upload as many or as little images for feedback as you progress through the class.  The feedback is outstanding and helps you on your journey.  I'm going to take ALL her classes!!

So I was dragged over to the Kit and Clowder Facebook group by the lovely Vicky from my design team. Before this, I hadn't heard of Kit & Clowder and was learning to use my markers through trial and error and YouTube videos. While there is certainly a lot to be learned in this way, none of it offered everything you need to know in one place as Kit & Clowder's skin & hair technique course does.

The reason I purchased the skin & hair class was to learn how to use my alcohol markers specifically so some of the wonderful information included was mostly irrelevant for me as I have a background in graphic design (college, 15+ years in web design). That said, this information (the light source and color theory lessons) are bonuses that any beginner definitely needs! The lightsource class as a bonus to this course is really phenomenal and quite the steal.

Thanks for all of the feedback over the past year that I've been intermittently working on my classes.  You've really helped me develop more depth and definition in my work.  Definitely worth the money, time and effort invested!  I am sure I will revisit my lessons should I come across something that needs it.

The before and after Skin and hair class photos. The class was a new way for me to colour! The class was great! Somethimes it was hard to understand the englisch language. Because I come from The Netherlands ;)

I picked up my markers for a bargain price a couple of years ago - right place, right time type of thing. I did a few google searches, watched a few YouTube videos and stumbled across Alyce's stunning work. I started following her and looking for all of her video's on YouTube. When she launched the K&C FB group and the ning site I was THERE!! I signed up I think straight away for the skin and hair class but with 2 little boys it took me a while to "get around to it."

Alyce's classes are truly amazing! The amount of detail she has put into each and every one of the classes, handouts and videos is 2nd to none. The one on one feedback is priceless. I have become not only a better colourist but a more confident colourist! I can look at something I have coloured now and appreciate how far I have come and, I'll be honest here, how good it looks!! Really enjoyed the class, the content is far better and in-depth than I expected, I had done a fair bit of colouring before had but I can see a big improvement.  Happy that I have now completed Skin and Hair, already signed up for Clothing and Pencils to perfect my skills on those.

I am so happy with my results after taking the Skin & Hair class! While I still have room for improvement and practice will help with that, I have learned how to tackle an image with confidence. I feel like I know how to go about coloring an image, even if my skill level is not perfect yet. Alyce is a wonderful teacher, and she is very supportive and encouraging to everyone. I enjoyed reading her feedback on my classroom exercises, that is really what makes her classes so special. Very useful information in the booklet and videos, well thought out exercises and Alyce is there to help you! Thank you so much! I would highly recommend all of her classes to anyone who wants to improve their coloring skills.

Thank you for all that I have learned while taking this class, Alyce! The improvement really is amazing! It takes alot of time and practice but I did it! These classes are worth every penny if not more! The step by step instructions are really in depth and the video tutorials are great! Plus, don't forget the feedback is so very helpful! I have been "colouring" for many many years, but I never learnt to colour before I stumbled over the FB Group called Kit and Clowder.

These ladies all knew how to colour beautifully and they all praised Alyce Keegans classes. Of course I had to try this out and I must say that my fellow students were right, and I have never one moment been disappointed.

With Alyce's help, I believe that I've found my real inner "artist". I can see an immense difference in the before and after Photos.

Alyce has guided me kindly and patiently to where I am today, and her never ending encouragement  and support urged me to do my best all the time. I know there are plenty to learn still, so I'm not finished studying with her and my next adventure will be the clothes class.

So I took this class to see if I could learn a few tips, not really expecting much. I have been to multiple Copic classes, including the certification classes. I will say that I learned more than any other class... More than all my other classes combined actually. This class has CHANGED the way that I color. I will be honest - I thought I colored fairly well before. I feel like I was a hack before. :-)I have learned to add much more depth and NOT be afraid of the darker tones. 

Many people say: " The Alyce's classes are very expensive, there are other cheaper options or even free, for example, Pinterest or youtube". That is true, but this tutorials are the good quality or bad? From my point of view, the Alyce's classes are fantastic, because, you can do them when you want (the access is unlimited) You can choose the way of working, the number of hours, without specific rules! The feedback is very fast!!! There are a lot audiovisual and writing tutorials, of course, many exercise sheets (when you finish the classes, you get a colouring book with your exercise sheets)

I recommend the Alyce's classes to you because you'll have fun and learn so much!!! Thank you, Alyce Keegan for your classess and your support!!!

This was the most amazing course I have ever taken, I have learnt so much for so little money. I have been on day courses for other craft for twice the money and more and have never enjoyed or learnt so much as I have doing this. Alyce is amazing in her clear and fun tutorials and the feedback is invaluable. My colouring has improved so much so now onto clothing then pencils. Can't stop colouring thanks to you Alyce. xx
