I will say it took me a while to buy the class but for a plain colourer who had no idea on shading and making my images look alive

I am very pleased I have brought this class I am not a very high grade learner and find it difficult to understand some things that aren't explained easy , these classes are idea for a beginner or someone who has been colouring for a long time,

I enjoy the fact everything is printable , it's all stepped out to take you one step along but if you need to skip a step or 2 you can and still get a lot of information out of the class

I had been looking for a long time for online class format that I could do in my own time but learn some more basic steps

You may be like me and think at 1st it's a lot of $$ but read the info you get

  • all class material in a download format you can print
  • homework sheets which are great
  • images to practice on
  • feedback on your colouring
  • access to a web site full of info
  • Make new friends

can upload images for feedback .ca

I am so pleased I took the plunge and signed up for the Skin and Hair class.  I cannot believe how much my colouring improved in just a few lessons and it gave me a renewed interest in colouring with Copics.  I realised when I had done a few skin and Hair lessons I needed to also do the Clothing class so I could finish off my images, so I am now doing some of both.  Would highly recommend these classes to anyone.

I have not completed the skin and hair class yet but have found everything I've learned so far very useful! Alyce's personal feedback is also super helpful and encouraging. I highly recommend all of the classes from Kit and Clowder.

I can not find enough words to praise these classes.

I have always loved colouring and have worked hard trying to improve my skills, I have admired colouring of others and I tried and tried but could never achieve what I saw other colorists do, I thought I followed all tutorials to the letter, but my efforts never looked the same. What makes these classes the absolute best is the fact that Alyce gives feedback, she is always encouraging and highlights what areas need refined and how to go about refining it. I am utterly amazed at how quickly my colouring has improved since doing these classes, I am attempting images that I never thought I would be capable of and enjoying the challenge. I am pulling out all my old favorites and re discovering them as I am now able to put so much more life into my colouring. I am sure like many craftersI have spent a small fortune on things like stamps and pens ect .... these classes are the best investment you could make with regard to your crafting as i

I have just started on my first class which is skin and hair class. Even if I only has done the 1th lesson I already have learn many things.

Here is a picture from before I started the class and one after the skin class. I have not started the hair class yet. I know I will need more practise - but I can see an improvement.

I really do recommend this classes for those who want to learn more about coloring!

This is my first attempt after viewing Spring Bling Wren tutorial.  It was so fun to watch and color along with Alyce.  She gives such detailed step-by-step details, lists the colors she used as a guide, and a wonderful quick overview of how to do hair, etc.  I'm working through the Skin and Hair tutorial at my own pace.  This accommodation gives me the freedom to work when I can with the tools that will optimize my learning.  I think these are the best tutorials for online learning that are available.

I was really enjoying my craft and learning a lot, but still not producing what I wanted, which was beautiful coloured pictures and cards.  A friend introduced me to Copics.

I was happily colouring along, buying a few "learn to colour" books here and there, but could not get into the instructions they were giving.  I would have been OK if I had a some experience, but I had none.

I continued to practise and was getting very disheartened.  I was viewing these incredibly coloured pictures that looked like prints.  I needed to know how to do this.  It took me a long time and a lot of searching and researching and it kept leading me back to Alyce Keegans Colouring Classes.

I took the plunge and purchased the "Skin and Hair" class.  I printed everything out and started reading.  At first it didn't make a lot of sense, but the more I read and began the video tutorials, the more interesting it all became.  I still didn't think I would be able to learn the things that Alyce was teaching, but I

I was going through a bit of a demotivating phase a while ago and had stepped down from some DTs. I wasn't enjoying my crafting and just didn't like what I was producing when I did it. I almost gave up for a while!

I noticed a link to Kit and Clowder through a friend on Facebook and I couldn't believe it as it was just what I was looking for. I joined the Skin and Hair Class straight away. I made the decision then to just focus on learning colouring techniques and not to stress about having to make things. I am only half way through the class but have already noticed a massive improvement in my colouring skills. I am now feeling more confident in colouring images that I wouldn't even thought of tackling before. The classes are very well thought out and are easy to follow. Great videos and exercise are included and the great thing is is that you can do it at your own pace. I don't have the time to do it everyday, as much as I would like! but I know it doesn't matter as I can pick it up

Well I'm near the end of the Skin and Hair class, I just want to colour one more image for Alyce to cast her professional eye over and then I'll happily 'graduate'! Oh then I will colour the same image I did as my intro image. But as soon as I have spare pennies ( next week hopefully) I shall sign up to the clothing class.

All I can say to anyone who thinks the class isn't for them I can assure you they are. I've been colouring for ages and everyone I know has shook their head at me when I said I was learning, everyone told me I didn't need to waste my money but I knew I did. I was getting lightsource and cast shadows so wrong even though I can blend and contrast and 'colour' properly. The classes have something for everyone. From technique to valuable one-to-one feedback and some awesome video tutorials.

I'm so pleased I listened to me; I learned so much and improved my basic techniques and I know understand light and cast shadows!! Enjoy colouring everyone!!

I learn by "doing", so these interactive lessons were just my style. I've tried other manuals to learn, but I had no way of knowing where I went wrong and quickly got bored.

The Kit and Clowder classes keep me motivated because after I do my practice I can try the techniques on other images. Alyce is always available to answer questions, so if I get stuck I can learn specifically how to apply the technique to the image I'm practicing on, allowing my learning to go to the next level! I also love the online community. I learn so much by looking at the work of others and seeing the suggestions Alyce provides. I invest so much in my craft supplies; this course gives incredible value and allows me to make the most of them.

I had to think a while before joining Alyce's class, should it be worth the money? So, one day I purchased the hair and skin class and now I wish I had done this so much earlier. It is sooooo worth the money.

There are exercize sheets, very good video's on how to colour and text sheets as well. I am really impressed with the course and how it is build up. The instructions are so easy to follow and it really helps seeing Alyce colour, you can learn so much from this alone.

But that is not all, if you upload your exercise sheets, you get quick and usefull feedback that really upgrades your colouring quicklly. and she is such a kind teacher but knows her way with the colouring. You get tips on how to improve your colouring that are handson and she explains it very good. You also have access every time you want day or night on the lessons. And once into the course, you have lifetime access, which comes in handy when you want to look back on how Alyce covers a type of hair.

The only note

Your suggestion of keeping the Copic Coloring Journal is the best tool for me. I have been able to track my progress and see how much I really have improved since starting your Hair and Skin Class. Thank you Alyce for boosting my self confidence and your encouragement that I really can accomplish my goal of coloring as good as Alyce Keegan!. Not trying to "butter up the teacher here", but I have taken other Copic classes and learned from all of them, but this curriculum and method has been my most productive. Keep Flicking ya'll, It works!

I just want to say that the classes at Kit and Clowder are the most wonderful classes that I have seen. I have been coloring for years and when I found her class and decided to do the skin and hair I was shocked to see the difference in just a couple of videos and practice sheets for me. I spend a lot of time practicing and with just two I saw the difference. Alyce is the best teacher that I have had so far. I took one other class at a store but it didn't compare to what I have learned from Alyce. You will never be sorry if you take her class and you have forever to do it which is wonderful in itself. Not everyone can do it in 8 hours or so but she gives you all the time you need. So if your looking for a great learning experience take a class and see. It is so worth it if you want to be better at what your doing. So I say go for it you won't be sorry.

I have been taking Alyce's skin and hair class since the middle of May . I am amazed at the thought and time Alyce has taken to make this class work so well. She always has time to talk you through your problems and always gives you great criticism on your homework and advises where and how you can improve . I have just signed up for the clothing class and can't wait to see my improvement in my colouring it may take time for me to see how well I'm doing but I know Alyce is there for me and encouraging me to keep going. Thanks Alyce for all your hard work and can't wait for more classes

I have bought two of the Kit and Clowder classes and couldn't be happier! The value for the money is amazing. You don't just get videos of how to do what she's teaching, she tells you why as well. You also get unlimited time to work on it, you get Alyce to critique your work and help you along, there are PDFs of everything that you can print into a workbook or use on your PC or tablet and there are exercise sheets to work on! My coloring has gotten better and batter and I know it will continue to do so as time goes on. I have enjoyed taking these classes and hope to purchase more in the future.

For anyone thinking about signing up for any of the courses Alyce has on offer I would highly recommend them. They are very indepth, and full of knowledge. Each class has both written knowledge with printable sheets and easy to follow video tutorials. I feel that you are getting expertise advice and knowledge that has given me the understanding that I need to enhance my skills.

Alyce offers feedback in each course which I have found to be very valuable. We cannot learn if we don't know where mistakes are made. Alyce is also on hand via emails or facebook should you have any questions or need any help. I hope to be purchasing other courses in the future.

I have been colouring for a few years now and I know we learn with every image we colour but I have to say since taking the skin and hair class from Kit and Clowder I have learnt so so much. I have access to the class material 24/7 (handy if I can't sleep). Alyce is always on hand to answer any questions I might have. I took one of the project classes at the weekend to and it was the most amazing value for money and again I learnt so much at my own pace... All I can say is if you are on the fence about taking them just go for it, you will not be sorry...here are a few before and after images..

I started using copics about two year ago. I didnt have a clue about how to use them except for the regular old style colouring we all do as a kid. I started looking round and came across Alyce's beautiful work. OMG. So i kinda pottered my way along using a lot of her youtube stuff but when the classes came up they were a lifesaver.

I was a bit of a 'blender' when it came to hair and my skin was lacking definition but i didnt know how to get it. In the first pic you can see that ive blended but it looks like a block of colour.

With Alyce's classes ive learnt how to develop shadow on the skin and how to bring out the colours in the hair so its not just a block. They are step by step the classes,, you can take as long as you want on each class, theres no rush. The feedback is brilliant as we all upload our pics and Alyce always goes through each pic.

The videos are clear not only in the clarity of the sound but also her pictures. The FB group is brilliant. What a great bunch. You make

Since taking the classes over at Kit and Clowder I have learnt some skills on adding depth to my images and ading shadows in the correct places. I haven't got far in the classes due to a variety of reasons but Alyce is great and lets me take things at my own pace... being able to go back and look at the previous lessons is fantastic for a recap, and getting feedback after submitting work to class is a great help... for a while I wasn't sure if I’d get anywhere but i finally got it to the point where I could move on. Alyce is a great teacher and being over the other side of the world doesnt impinge on this!

Alyce's classes are nothing short of amazing. The videos are perfect for those of us that learn by watching, and the in depth class materials explain all in such detail. Another plus to all her courses is that you do not have to do the lessons in order. It is easy to skip around the lessons and take on the exercises as it pertains to what you may be currently colouring.

I have taken courses previously from Copic Certified instructors and have also bought many learning materials from other sources. I honestly could have saved myself many $$'s if these classes were available when I first started playing. The cost of these courses are so worth all you get for your money, plus the added bonus of her unbiased feedback. She is available to comment on any and all work you load up to the classroom, answers any questions and encourages everyone every step of the way.

Alyce, I am so greatful for you and what you have done for all us "colouring enthusiasts".
