I have been following Alyce on both Facebook and her blog before her ning site was started and never have I had anything she wasn't happy to help with!! Her classes on the ning site are simply amazing and full of so many useful tips and tricks and just general how to's!! I am yet to finish the skin and hair class but already have seen SO MUCH improvement!! Alyce is more than generous with her time and I can't wait to finish my skin and hair class and enroll myself into the clothing class. Worth every single cent.

I’m so glad I signed up for the Kit and Clowder Hair and Skin Class! It was a big decision for me as I have limited funds due to being unable to work, so have to think very carefully before making a purchase like this. I’m so so glad I did! What an investment!

Alyce has put so much time and effort into producing this class! It includes the theory of light source (something that had previously completely eluded me), information sheets, demonstrations, videos (a video is worth a thousand words), technique sheets and practice sheets. Every step is clearly explained and demonstrated in a way that makes it very understandable. It’s broken into different lessons containing manageable chunks. I love the fact that you can complete it at your own pace – there’s no time limit or pressure to speed through the lessons.

I feel like I could write a book about everything I've learned in the past few weeks and how much I value your (and the other members of the DT) opinion and feedback. No other website or classes I've taken have offered near as much material for such a bargain price. Before and After

I just love all of Alyce's classes I have puchaced two colouring classes and two project classes and I just love all of them. I find all of them easy to follow and understand and the fact that you can take as long as you like to take the classes and that you have always got the info to look back on or watch a video again just to jog your memory.

The feed back you get on how you are going is fantastic something I have never had from any other classes I have been to. I find everyone in the Kit and Clowder group very supportive and encouraging it feels like they are friends even tho you have never met them face to face and I think that is a credit to Alyce Keegan for being the friendly and helpful person she is. So anyone thinking about taking Alyce's class should definitely do so you will not regret it

The amount of information you get...downloadable booklet w/step by step instructions & more, unlimited/lifetime viewing of step by step video's, access to lots of exercise sheets to practice on per class, feedback from Alyce, which is invaluable, and much, much MORE!!!!!

I have just started the class, which you do at your own pace, and I can already see an improvement. Something else I didn't know, cleaning your marker nibs. She goes into depth on how to do it and she can see in your pictures when they need cleaning. You won't go wrong with any class you take.

Before and Afters

I joined the Kit & Clowder Skin and Hair Course in order to improve my skills with portraiture, with the hope of moving from lead pencil sketching to Copic illustrations.

I am amazed at how much I have learned through Alyce's tutelage in regard to Copis and my pencil sketching. She is a remarkable artist and a gorgeous person whom is always giving her best to her students. I believe that the personal one on one chats has helped a great deal, in that the criticism is very constructive (and kind) and precise, thus ensuring the student is getting the help they required. The written course is very clear and user friendly. It is basic enough for the beginner as well as insightful enough for the experienced artist to be able to still be engaged and challenged.

The video lessons are excellent! They give life and meaning to the (essential) theory and demonstrate the whys and the hows of colouring, giving tips that one would not otherwise get should they work straight from a book.

Having been a fan of Alyce's work for a long time as soon as i saw she was launching these classes i knew i had join & it was definatly the best decision i ever made.

I thought they would be good but what Alyce has created has more than exceeded my expectations, the content & depth of knowledge she has put into them is far more than i can ever imagine. The lessons are so easy to follow & laid out really well & for me one of the biggest bonuses is you can can do the classes at your own pace...running & trying to expand my own business means im sure like many of us spare time is a luxury at the moment but theres no stress that i need to get a lesson done by a certain time i know they are there whenever i have the time i can just pick up where i left off..or even revisit older lessons if i feel a bit rusty. And theres the thing that really is the icing on the cake which is Alyces amazing constant support & feedback...this is what i really think makes the classes what they are...she is al

Alyce Keegan would be in my opinion one of the best teachers around. Her classes are A1. She explains everything in such detail and she is so easy to follow. In the short time these classes have been going I am amazed at everyone's progress including my own. I would highly recommend these classes for anyone who wants to improve in every aspect of colouring and design. Alyce goes into the classroom regularly to critique our work to show us where we could improve always finishing with a positive word of encouragement. You won't be disappointed. My experience with the Kit and Clowder classes has been nothing but positive. I had previously taken 4 different Copic classes and, although they were informative, they didn't get nearly as detailed as Alyce's classes. She offers a valuable resource that is accessible for the rest of your life. You get amazing, timely feedback. You have the ability to network with an incredible supportive group of artists that cheer you on the whole way, and you get a talented, attentive instructor. Alyce offers fun, self-paced classes that are easy to follow, along with all the necessary worksheets and printable handouts. Besides some sort of markers, you don't need to invest in an additional thing!

I have been making cards for eight years. I took up the hobby to occupy myself while at home alone after my husband passed away. I went to several classes and tried lots of techniques and finally settled on rubber stamping and colouring (this, I think, was before digi's took off). I created a blog and visited others blogs and noticed some wonderful coloured images. I WANTED TO DO THIS. I enrolled on a one day class which cost £100 plus travelling and overnight accommodation - I didn't mind this as I was so keen to learn, and did learn a little. But when it was finished it was over and I was on my own again. I was trying to achieve and looking at videos but none of them explained light source, strokes or how to hold the markers. There was no avenue for support or feedback, something you have in abundance. Joining your classes really was a dream come true. I now have excellent expert tuition, massive support and a whole new community of fellow coloureds to call on. I am now in my element

I love adding 'color' to linear design but until I took Alyce's classes I did not realize how much "in the dark" I was. I was still thinking as a 3rd grader "stay within the lines" and I was very happy with that. But then I started seeing the work presented by other artists and I thought that maybe, maybe, I needed a "little" help.

First I tried to copy those 'techniques' by looking at images colored by others without any understanding of light direction, cast shadows, or shading. I did not know that I could blend my colors together for a prettier effect.

But all that as changed since starting with Kit and Clowder online colouring classes. Now I look at my stamps with a different set of eyes. I love that you can learn at your own pace and you get honest feedback in record time from Alyce. The tools she's included with the classes were a big help as I am a very visual individual. The practice lessons were just what I needed to try new techniques and even try to create some new ones myse

When I first came across Alyce's colouring classes, I thought "Yeah, I could do with some lessons" but time and money were my obstacles. I also thought "can I really improve anyway? I've been colouring for over two years!". After much deliberating, I talked my kids into buying me the Skin and Hair class for Mother's Day....and I've not looked back! Lessons at my own pace (slow) are a bonus for me. You get so much more than "just lessons" with Alyce's classes. The lessons themselves are very thorough but not overwhelming and you also get high class videos, encouraging feedback, and best of all for me, you get to be a a part member of a very special colouring family. I promise with these lessons, your colouring WILL improve! And you'll have loads of fun on the journey.

The classes I have done so far with Kit and Clowder and designed by Alyce have been of huge benefit to me. Being on many Design Teams I now feel comfortable showcasing my designs proudly. My skin and hair classes I feel I completed successfully and although I don't have before and after cards at this stage, I know personally and from comments received that my colouring is almost perfect. Now I am perfecting my pleats and folds in the newest class and I am absolutely thrilled. The videos which can be viewed are an added bonus...I am also doing the mermaid class which I am looking forward to perfect...these are the most awesome classes on could have to perfect their colouring skills. I really can highly recommend the classes to any colouring novice or anyone who wishes to develop their skill.......the classes include very clear instructions, practice/exercise sheets and the videos are really helpful. You can upload your photos for Alyce to give you feedback and instructions on how to improve. The other members of the group are really supportive and friendly. I am doing the clothes course but can't wait to do the hair and skin course. It is so worth the money !!!!!!

The classes are a great deal when you keep in mind all the in depth information that you receive along with live videos and one on one feedback. I might not be happy with the results on the first try, but I feel like I am making improvements because of the classes.

There is nothing about the Hair and Skin Class that I don’t like! Alyce has spent a lot of time creating awesome and easy to follow directions, videos and worksheets plus give personalized feedback with no time limit! How can you ask for more? I took an official Copic class several years ago. These Kit and Clowder classes are so much more in terms of information and tons of fun. I have already bought the clothing class even though I haven’t finished the first one. Money well spent without a doubt.

At first I was skeptical whether to join the kit and clowder colouring classes due to cost and time. It was when I joined the facebook community and seeing how well people had improved that I was soon easily swayed, I wasn't disappointed. Even though I colour with promarkers, the community forum on the site allows fellow members to show you combinations no matter what markers you use. I have gained confidence and knowledge in a short time, completing a few lessons of the classes. Alyce is great at feedback and sets achievable goals. I am so pleased I joined.

I signed up to the Skin and Hair Class over at Kit and Clowder. There are 8 different lessons and within each one there is so much detail. Alyce breaks everything down, you have homework sheets, video tutorials and practice sheets you can print off as many times as you like. I love that you can just dip in and out when you can as I don't often get a lot of "me time". The way these classes are set out means I can fit them into my life when I can. Alyce is kind enough to make herself available every day for live chat and is always very helpful. She also gives great feedback on the website, She is always so encouraging but lets you know where improvements can be made - just what you need. My colouring has improved already and I am only on week 4. I also purchased the Mermaid class, here is the image I coloured.
